SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1115 AM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH ALABAMA
 
   ...WILCOX COUNTY
 
AT 1010 AM...MOBILE DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
MOVING THROUGH WILCOX COUNTY FROM SOUTHEAST CAMDEN. THIS STORM WILL
AFFECT THE COMMUNITIES OF OAK HILL...ALLENTON AND PINEAPPLE THROUGH 1045
AM.
 
THE MAIN THREAT FROM THESE STORMS IS DAMAGING STRAIGHT LINE WINDS IN
EXCESS OF 55 MPH AND VERY HEAVY RAINS. LOCALIZED PONDING OF WATER IN LOW
LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS WILL BE A THREAT AS THE LINE MOVES LITTLE
THROUGH LATE MORNING.
 
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.  REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO
RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
