000 TTAA00 KMOB 250028 RRA SVRMOB ALC003-250130- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL 627 PM CST FRI JAN 24 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 730 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHWEST ALABAMA ...BALDWIN COUNTY AT 625 PM...NWS DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR IN MOBILE, AL INIDCATED A PERSISTENT SEVERE THUNDERSTORM MOVING ACROSS THE CENTRAL PORTION OF BALDWIN COUNTY ALABAMA. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED SOUTHEAST OF ROBERSTDALE AND WAS MOVING EAST-NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. THIS CURRRENT MOTION WILL TAKE THE STORM INTO THE EAST PORTION OF THE COUNTY AND WILL PASS JUST NORTH OF SEMINOLE. OTHER STRONG STORMS WERE MOVING ACROSS THE WEST PORTION OF BALDWIN COUNTY AND WILL CONTINUE PROCEEDING EASTWARD DURING THE NEXT HOUR. THESE SECONDARY STORMS MAY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL WARNING. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
