000 TTAA00 KMOB 241412 RRA SVRMOB ALC041-241515- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL 811 AM CST FRI JAN 24 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 915 AM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH ALABAMA ...CRENSHAW COUNTY AT 810 AM...MOBILE DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR SHOWED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVING INTO CRENSHAW COUNTY. THIS LINE WILL AFFECT THE COMMUNITIES OF LUVERNE...PETREY AND HIGHLAND HOME THROUGH 915 AM. DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THESE STORMS AS WELL AS LARGE HAIL. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
