000 TTAA00 KMIA 262051 RRA SVRMIA FLC025-262200- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIAMI FL 451 PM EDT SAT APR 26 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIAMI HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 600 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...... IN SOUTHEAST FLORIDA ...DADE COUNTY AT 445 PM...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CONTINUED OVER NORTHWEST SUBURBS OF DADE COUNTY. THIS STORM WAS OVER THE PALMETTO EXPRESSWAY NEAR KENDALL DRIVE. MOVEMENT WAS FROM THE SOUTHWEST AT 15 MPH. THE STORM WILL MOVE INTO THE WESTCHESTER AREA BETWEEN 500 PM AND 530 PM. HEAVYDOWN POURS OF RAIN WILL CAUSE STREET FLOODING LOW VISIBILITIES AND HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN... AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM. SEEK SHELTER IN A STRONG BUILDING. STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS. DO NOT USE TELEPHONES OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES.
