THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEMPHIS TN HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1145 PM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN NORTHEASTERN ARKANSAS

   ...WESTERN CROSS COUNTY
   ...POINSETT COUNTY
 
UPWARDS OF THREE INCHES OF RAIN FELL ON PARTS OF CRAIGHEAD ..
POINSETT .. AND CROSS COUNTIES BETWEEN 400 PM AND 700 PM THIS
EVENING.  DRAINAGES AND LOW AREAS ARE BECOMING INUNDATED AND WATER
IS COVERING SOME ROADS IN THE AREA.

THE RAIN WILL END AS A COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH BEFORE MIDNIGHT
BUT THE FLOODING WILL CONTINUE AS THE ACCUMULATED RAIN WORKS ITS
WAY INTO DRAINAGES.

.BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT...IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODS IN THE DARK. DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO PLAY
IN OR NEAR FLOOD WATER.  DO NOT DRIVE INTO FLOODED ROADWAYS.
