THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEMPHIS TN HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1015 PM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN NORTHEASTERN MISSISSIPPI

   ...ITAWAMBA COUNTY
   ...PRENTISS COUNTY
   ...TISHOMINGO COUNTY
 
AT 715 PM CST..DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY
RAIN IN A BAND EXTENDING FROM TISHOMINGO COUNTY SOUTHWESTWARD TO
CALHOUN AND CHICKASAW COUNTIES.

FLOODING WAS REPORTED THROUGHOUT PRENTISS COUNTY AND A BRIDGE ON THE
LEE AND ITAWAMBA COUNTY LINE WAS ABOUT TO BE COVERED WITH WATER.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE
NORTHEASTWARD ACROSS NORTHEAST MISSISSIPI FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.

SINCE THE GROUND IS SATURATED FROM EARLIER RAINFALL...ADDITIONAL
RAIN WILL CAUSE RAPID FLOODING.

.BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUBS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODING. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.
MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO
FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
