FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 955 PM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN NORTHEASTERN MISSISSIPPI

   ...CALHOUN COUNTY
   ...CHICKASAW COUNTY
   ...LEE COUNTY
   ...PONTOTOC COUNTY
 
AT 645 PM..DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY
RAIN OCCURRING IN NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI IN A BAND
EXTENDING FROM THE TUPELO AREA SOUTHWESTWARD TO NEAR CALHOUN CITY
AND HOUSTON.

FLOODING WAS REPORTED IN THE TUPELO AREA WITH SEVERAL STREETS UNDER
WATER. TOWN CREEK HAS REACHED BANKFULL AND IS EXPECTED TO RISE
HIGHER.

ADDITIONAL RAINS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS
WHICH WILL MAKE EXISTING CONDITIONS WORSE.

.BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODING. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.
MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO
FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING. DO NOT DRIVE ON ROADS THAT ARE
COVERED WITH WATER.
