IN WESTERN TEXAS ...NORTHEASTERN TERRELL COUNTY AT 727 PM CDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED BY MIDLAND DOPPLER RADAR 37 MILES NORTHEAST OF SANDERSON OR 32 MILES NORTHEAST OF DRYDEN MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH. THIS STORM IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN IN RURAL AREAS. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIDLAND TX 222 PM CDT SUN JUN 8 1997 SEVERE WX AND FLASH FLOODING IN PROGRESS FROM THE NRN PERMIAN BASIN/ SOUTHERN SOUTH PLAINS..TO JUST WEST OF ODESSA..TO FST..TO THE BIG BEND COUNTRY. A NEG TILT UPPER LOW OVER NE AZ WILL LIFT OUT AND SLOWLY FILL OVERNIGHT. THIS SHUD HELP DIMINISH PCPN CHANCES FOR TMRW. HOWEVER.. LOW LEVEL MOISTURE WILL REMAIN IN PLACE THRU TUESDAY.
