SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  700 AM CDT
FOR RESIDENTS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH MISSISSIPPI

AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS
 
AT 620 AM CDT...RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVING
INTO WESTERN HANCOCK COUNTY. THIS LINE WAS MOVING EAST AT 60 MPH AND
WILL SWEEP ACROSS THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE COUNTY BEFORE 7 AM CDT.
 
AT 617 AM CDT...REPORTS OF MEASURED WIND GUSTS 60 TO 65 MPH WERE
RECEIVED FROM THE LAKE PONTCHARTRAIN CAUSEWAY POLICE. PEA SIZED HAIL WAS
COMMON WITH THE PASSAGE OF THIS LINE.  LIGHTNING WILL BE FREQUENT WITH
POWER OUTAGES LIKELY.
