000 TTAA00 KNEW 210715 RRA SVRNEW MSC157-210800- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW ORLEANS LA 112 AM CST FRI FEB 21 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW ORLEANS HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 200 AM CST FOR RESIDENTS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH MISSISSIPPI ...WILKINSON COUNTY AT 110 AM CST NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS JUST WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER IN EASTERN AVOYELLES PARISH IN LOUISIANA. THE LINE WAS MOVING EAST AROUND 30 MPH. THE LINE OF THUNDERSTORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WIND GUSTS OF 60 MPH OR GREATER. COMMUNITIES IN THE PATH OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS INCLUDE...FORT ADAMS AND WOODVILLE. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEXATHER CONDITIONS.
