072 WUUS1 KNEW 210705 RRA SVRNEW LAC077-125-210800- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW ORLEANS LA 102 AM CST FRI FEB 21 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW ORLEANS HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 200 AM CST FOR RESIDENTS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA ...POINTE COUPEE PARISH...WEST FELICIANA PARISH AT 100 AM CST RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM NEAR SIMMSPORT TO KROTZ SPRINGS. THE LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH. WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH OR GREATER IS LIKELY WITH THESE THUNDERSTORMS. COMMUNITIES IN THE PATH OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS INCLUDE BATCHELOR...NEW ROADS...LIVONIA...AND ST FRANCISVILLE. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.
