SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 945 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA

   ...SOUTHWESTERN CHERRY COUNTY
 
AT 838 PM CDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED BY NORTH PLATTE
DOPPLER RADAR 27 MILES NORTHWEST OF MULLEN MOVING EAST AT 25 MPH.

THIS STORM IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN IN RURAL AREAS NORTH AND EAST OF
WHITMAN.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH
LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.  IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM

THUNDERSTORMS IN THE PANHANDLE AND NORTH CENTRAL COUNTIES...

ETA HAS 340 PLUS THETA-E RIDGE BUILDING INTO THE NEBRASKA PANHANDLE BY
00Z THIS EVENING AND INTO EASTERN NEBRASKA BY SUNDAY EVENING.
COMBINING THAT WITH VERY WARM HUMID CONDITIONS AND WEAK QG-FORCING/PVA
SHOULD TRIGGER AT LEAST SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE PANHANDLE WITH
THE POSSIBILITY OF THEIR MOVING INTO THE EASTERN PANHANDLE OR EVEN
CHERRY, GRANT, ARTHUR COUNTIES LATER IN THE EVENING. IN THE NORTH
CENTRAL ZONES...THUNDERSTORMS IN SOUTH DAKOTA COULD COME INTO THE
NORTHERN TIER OF COUNTIES. FOR SUNDAY AND MONDAY...SUBSIDENCE WITH THE
500MB HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM IN EASTERN COLORADO SHOULD KEEP THE MID
LEVEL CAP TOO STRONG FOR SIGNIFICANT CONVECTION OVER ALL BUT THE NORTH
CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST PARTS OF NEBRASKA SUNDAY AND MONDAY. IN THE NORTH
CENTRAL ZONES...THUNDERSTORMS WOULD STILL BE POSSIBLE ALONG THE CREST
OF THE RIDGE IN ANW AND ONL AND IN THE HIGH 700MB THETA-E.

THE OTHER CHALLENGE FOR TONIGHT IS THE POSSIBILITY OF THE FOG IN THE
NORTH CENTRAL COUNTIES. I DON'T SEE ANY BIG CHANGE THAT WOULD PRECLUDE
THE FORMATION OF FOG. LIGHT WIND...HIGH DEWPOINTS...AND ONLY HIGH
CLOUDS SHOULD AID FOG FORMATION.

ETA THICKNESS PROGS GIVE SLIGHTLY HIGHER 1000-500MB THICKNESSES (ABOUT
30M) SO WOULD EXPECT TEMPERATURES SUNDAY 2 OR 3 DEGREES WARMER THAN
TODAY'S.
