000 TTAA00 KJAN 100359 RRA TORJAN MSC043-100430- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON MS 1057 PM CDT WED JUL 9 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1130 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTH CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI ...WESTERN GRENADA COUNTY AT 1055 PM DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO ABOUT 5 MILES WEST OF HOLCOMB. THIS STORM WAS MOVING SOUTH SOUTHEAST AT 15 MPH AND WILL MOVE NEAR LEFLORE BY 1110 PM. IN ADDITION TO THE POTENTIAL FOR A TORNADO...THIS STORM WILL ALSO LIKELY PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH AND LARGE HAIL. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. MOVE QUICKLY TO UNDERGRzOUND SHELTER IF AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE...GO TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. AVOID WINDOWS. LEAVE CARS AND MOBILE HOMES FOR A STURDY BUILDING. < 65
