FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1200 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
 
   ...ATTALA COUNTY...HOLMES COUNTY...YAZOO COUNTY
 
RADAR INDICATES THAT THREE TO OVER SIX INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN THE
WARNED AREA SINCE MONDAY AND FLOODING WAS REPORTED EARLIER THIS MORNING
IN EASTERN HOLMES COUNTY.
 
RADAR AT 710 AM INDICATED THAT SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING HEAVY
RAINS WERE DEVELOPING NORTHWARD OVER PORTIONS OF HOLMES AND YAZOO
COUNTIES AND WILL LIKELY SPREAD NORTHWARD OVER THE WARNED AREA DURING
THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.
 
AS THE STORMS DEVELOP NORTHWARD ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINS WILL LIKELY
RESULT IN FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS AND LOW AREAS ESPECIALLY ALONG
TRIBUTARIES AND AREAS ALONG THE BIG BLACK RIVER.
 
A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN
WATER BEGINS RISING.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
