FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  915 PM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR YAZOO COUNTY UTIL 930 PM
CDT...
 
AT 610 PM RADAR INDICATED THAT RAIN AMOUNTS OF FROM AN INCH TO AN INCH
AND A HALF HAVE OCCURRED SINCE 510 PM AND THAT AMOUNTS OF UP TO TWO AND
A HALF INCHES HAVE OCCURRED SINCE 310 PM. RADAR ALSO INDICATES
SCATTTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE MOVING NORTH-NORTHEAST
THROUGH YAZOO COUNTY DURING THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.
 
YAZOO COUNTY CIVIL DEFENSE REPORTS THAT THE LINTONIA AVENUE CANAL AND
WILLIS CREEK IN YAZOO CITY IS OVERFLOWING AND SOME HOUSES IN YAZOO CITY
MAY BE IN DANGER OF FLOODING.
 
ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL WILL AGGRICATE THE SITUATION AND RESULT IN
ADDITIONAL PONDING OF WATER AND RISES IN YAZOO COUNTY STREAMS.
 
PEOPLE SHOULD NOT DRIVE THEIR AUTOMOBILES THROUGH FLOODED ROADWAYS OR
WATER OF AN UNKNOWN DEPTH.  IF FLOODING DEVELOPS IN YOUR AREA...MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.
