THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WAYNE HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  800 AM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTHEAST INDIANA
 
   ...SOUTHERN WHITLEY COUNTY
 
AT 453 AM EST RADAR INDICATED A NEARLY STATIONARY THUNDERSTORM OVER
SOUTHERN WHITLEY COUNTY. RADAR PRECIPITATION ESTIMATES HAVE BEEN IN THE
ONE TO THREE INCH RANGE. THE SHERIFF DEPARTMENT REPORTED THAT SOME ROADS
WERE CLOSING AND HOMES WERE BEGINING TO FLOOD IN THE CITY OF SOUTH
WHITLEY.
 
 
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
