THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WAYNE HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  545 AM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTHEAST INDIANA
 
   ...ALLEN COUNTY
 
IN THE PAST HOUR RAIN HAS BEEN CONTINUALLY FALLING OVER PORTIONS OF THE
CITY OF FORT WAYNE. AT 240 AM EST RADAR INDICATED A BAND OF SHOWERS
MOVING OVER THE CITY OF FORT WAYNE AND MORE RAIN WILL BE MOVING IN FROM
THE WEST. THE RAIN GAUGE AT SPY RUN HAS REPORTED 0.67 INCHES OF RAIN IN
THE LAST HOUR AND SIMILAR TOTALS HAVE BEEN REPORTED JUST NORTH OF THERE.
 
THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION!!  NEVER WALK OR DRIVE INTO FLOODED
ROADWAYS!!!
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
