NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILMINGTON OH 604 PM EDT SUN JUN 1 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON OH HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING FOR SMALL STREAMS EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN WEST CENTRAL OHIO ...CLARK COUNTY AT 6 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING WEST/EAST FROM NORTH HAMPTON TO SOUTH VIENNA. THESE STORMS HAVE CAUSED BETWEEN 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN TO FALL ACROSS THE CENTRAL PART OF THE COUNTY...NEAR SPRINGFIELD...BETWEEN 5 AND 6 PM EDT. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN SINCE THE GROUND IS ALREADY SATURATED DUE TO HEAVY RAINS RECEIVED THIS WEEKEND...FLOODING ALONG CREEKS AND STREAMS AS WELL AS IN LOW-LYING AND FLOOD PRONE AREAS IS LIKELY THIS EVENING.
