SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1030 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

AT 921 PM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM NEAR PLANO. THE STORM WAS MOVING SOUTH AT 15 MPH AND
PRODUCED QUARTER SIZE HAIL IN NORTHWEST PLANO AT 914 PM. HAIL UP TO
GOLFBALL SIZE AND WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED WITH THIS
STORM.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...YOU SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED.  DO NOT DRIVE

THE WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL PARTS OF NORTH TEXAS...GENERALLY WEST
OF A LINE FROM BONHAM TO WAXAHACHIE TO LAMPASAS. SOME CITIES
INCLUDED IN THIS AREA ARE DENTON...SHERMAN...BROWNWOOD...
MINERAL WELLS AND THE DALLAS/FORT WORTH METROPLEX.

THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING ACROSS WEST TEXAS AND NORTH INTO
OKLAHOMA LATE THIS AFTERNOON. A SURFACE BOUNDARY EXTENDED FROM THE
TEXAS PANHANDLE SOUTHEASTWARD ALONG THE RED RIVER. THE ATMOSPHERE
ACROSS THE SLIGHT RISK AREA HAS BECOME MODERATELY UNSTABLE. AS A
RESULT THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP INTO THE RISK AREA
THROUGH EARLY EVENING. THE MAIN THREAT OF SEVERE WEATHER WILL BE FROM
LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING DOWNBURST WINDS.

IN ADDITION TO THE THREAT OF SEVERE WEATHER...HEAVY RAINS ARE ALSO
