FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  200 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...DENTON COUNTY...PALO PINTO COUNTY...PARKER COUNTY
   ...TARRANT COUNTY
 
AT 1053 PM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LARGE CLUSTER OF
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS FROM 10 MILES SOUTH OF PALO PINTO TO WEATHERFORD TO
NORTHERN FORT WORTH TO DENTON. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE VERY SLOWLY
ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH 200 AM AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL WILL OCCUR.
RAINFALL AMOUNTS APPROACHING THREE INCHES WILL RESULT IN FLOODING OF
LOW-LYING AREAS AND URBAN AREAS. REMEMBER...MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS
OCCUR WHEN AUTOMOBILES ARE DRIVEN INTO FLOOD WATERS...NEVER DRIVE ACROSS
A FLOODED ROAD!
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUSJ AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
