000 TTAA00 KATL 102352 RRA SVRATL GAC097-110015- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PEACHTREE CITY GA 749 PM EDT WED SEP 10 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 815 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA ...SOUTHERN DOUGLAS COUNTY AT 745 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED TWO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER CENTRAL DOUGLAS COUNTY. THE STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 5 MPH. HAIL THE SIZE OF QUARTERS WAS REPORTED 5 MILES SOUTH OF DOUGLASVILLE AT 740 PM. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
