THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1045 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
 
   ...WASHINGTON COUNTY
 
AT 1015 PM WEATHER RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR THE
HANCOCK-WASHINGTON COUNTY LINE JUST WEST OF THE TOWN OF WARTHEN. THE
STORM WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 5 TO 10 MPH. THIS WILL
TAKE IT NEAR SANDERSVILLE BY 1030 PM.
 
 
DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING
ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. STAY INSIDE AWAY FROM
WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED. BOATERS, GOLFERS, AND OTHERS
INVOLVED IN OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
