IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...BANDERA COUNTY AT 413 PM CDT WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ALONG HIGHWAY 470 MIDWAY BETWEEN BANDERA AND TARPLEY. THIS STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT ABOUT 5 MPH. SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WINDS CAN REACH SPEEDS OVER 60 MPH. THESE WINDS BLOW DOWN TREES...POWER LINES...AND SEVERELY DAMAGE MOBILE HOMES... SOMETIMES BUILDINGS. VERY LARGE HAIL CAN INJURE ANYONE CAUGHT OUTSIDE. HEAVY RAIN MAY FLOOD LOW WATER CROSSINGS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IF FLOODING THREATENS.
