IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...EDWARDS COUNTY AT 250 PM CDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLY SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN NORTHWEST EDWARDS COUNTY NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF HWYS US 277 AND TEXAS 55. THIS STORM WAS DRIFTING SOUTHEAST AT 5 MPH. SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WINDS CAN REACH SPEEDS OVER 60 MPH. THESE WINDS BLOW DOWN TREES...POWER LINES...AND SEVERELY DAMAGE MOBILE HOMES... SOMETIMES BUILDINGS. VERY LARGE HAIL CAN INJURE ANYONE CAUGHT OUTSIDE.
