THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  745 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...DIMMIT COUNTY
 
AT 540 AM RADAR INDICATED A LARGE AREA OF RAIN CONTINUING OVER
MEXICO...WEBB COUNTY AND DIMMIT COUNTY. THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE IN DIMMIT
COUNTY REPORTED SOME ROADS FLOODED IN CATARINA.
 
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE OVER DIMMIT COUNTY FOR
THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.  ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL RUNOFF QUICKLY CAUSING
CONTINUED FLOODING OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS AND LOW LYING AREAS.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
