FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  145 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...KERR COUNTY...MAVERICK COUNTY...REAL COUNTY...UVALDE COUNTY
 
A WIDE LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN WAS MOVING
ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS AND THE HILL COUNTRY...PRODUCING HEAVY
RAINFALL RATES OF BETWEEN ONE AND TWO INCHES PER HOUR. THIS LINE OF
THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE AREA AND DROP AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2
INCHES OF RAIN WITH ISOLATED AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES POSSIBLE.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
 
AVOID ALREADY FLOODED AREAS.  TRAVELERS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS FLOODED ROADS.  IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...LEAVE IT AND MOVE
IMMEDIATELY TO HIGHER GROUND IF YOU CAN DO SO SAFELY.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT.  IT IS
IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR
CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS.  CAMPERS AND OTHER
PEOPLE IN RECREATION AREAS ALONG CREEKS...STREAMS...AND RIVERS IN
THE WARNING AREA SHOULD MOVE TO HIGH GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
