AT 540 PM...DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR
CHAPLIN CONNECTICUT IN WESTERN WINDHAM COUNTY. A SKYWARN WEATHER SPOTTER
REPORTED DIME SIZE HAIL WITH THIS STORM.  THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT
20 MPH AND WILL MOVE THROUGH BROOKLYN AND KILLINGLY BY 605 PM.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
