036 WUUS1 KABQ 080251 RRA SVRABQ NMC011-080400- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALBUQUERQUE NM 855 PM MDT SAT JUN 7 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1000 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN EAST CENTRAL NEW MEXICO ...DE BACA COUNTY AT 840 PM MDT...A DEVELOPING LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WAS INDICATED BY DOPPLER RADAR FROM 5 MILES SOUTH OF FORT SUMNER TO 10 MILES SOUTH OF YESO TO NEAR RAMON. THE LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IS ABOUT 10 MILES WIDE AND IS MOVING TO THE NORTH AT 30 MPH. THE COMMUNITIES OF YESO...FORT SUMNER AND SUMNER LAKE ARE IN THE PATH OF THESE STORMS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DONT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
