000 TTAA00 KTUS 040232 SVRTUS AZC019-040315- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TUCSON ARIZONA 733 PM MST WED JUL 3 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TUCSON ARIZONA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 815 PM MST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH CENTRAL ARIZONA ...EASTERN PIMA COUNTY TUCSON DOPPLER RADAR AND SPOTTER REPORTS INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN EASTERN PIMA COUNTY. THIS THUNDERSTORM IS MOVING WEST AT 15 MPH AND WILL MOVE INTO THE VAIL AREA WITHIN THE NEXT 30 MINUTES. AT 720 PM HIGH WINDS WERE REPORTED BY WEATHER SPOTTERS IN THE ST DAVID AREA CAUSING TREE DAMAGE. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 57 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD. &
