THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  300 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION......
 
IN WEST CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA
 
   ...KANAWHA COUNTY
 
AT 1145 PM EDT...THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN WERE ONCE AGAIN
MOVING INTO KANAWHA COUNTY. STREAMS AND CREEKS WERE RUNNING NEAR
BANKFULL. ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL CAUSE SMALL STREAM FLOODING ACROSS THE
COUNTY.
 
THE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE EAST OF THE AREA BY 130 AM
...BUT THE FLOODING WILL LINGER UNTIL ABOUT 300 AM.
 
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
