000 TTAA00 KRDU 112028 SVRRDU NCC135-112100- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RALEIGH/DURHAM NC 429 PM EDT SAT MAY 11 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH/DURHAM HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 500 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTH CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA ...ORANGE COUNTY AT 428 PM...WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN WESTERN ORANGE COUNTY 5 MILES SOUTH OF I85. THE STORM IS MOVING TO THE EAST-NORTHEAST AROUND 35 MPH AND WILL BE MOVING INTO THE AREA JUST SOUTH OF HILLSBOROUGH IN THE NEXT 15 MINUTES. PEOPLE SHOULD BE ESPECIALLY ALERT FOR LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND. FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN CAN POSE A DANGER WITH ANY THUNDERSTORM.
