000 TTAA00 KPHL 222252 SVRPHL NJC005-029-230000- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY NJ 651 PM EDT SAT JUN 22 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN NEW JERSEY ...EASTERN BURLINGTON COUNTY...OCEAN COUNTY AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS AT 650 PM RADAR INDICATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUING OVER WESTERN BURLINGTON AND OCEAN COUNTIES OF NEW JERSEY. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AROUND 30 MILES AN HOUR. OTHER THUNDERSTORMS WERE TRAILING THE FIRST CLUSTER...SO HEAVY RAINS CAN BE EXPECTED WHICH MAY CAUSE FLOODING OF ROADS AND LOW-LYING AREAS...AS WELL AS SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS. DEADLY CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING WILL ALSO OCCUR WITH THESE STORMS. HEAVY RAINS WITH THIS THUNDERSTORM MAY CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS AND UNDERPASSES VERY QUICKLY.
