SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL  645 PM EDT
FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST NEW YORK
 
   ...CENTRAL WESTCHESTER COUNTY
 
DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR HAWTHORNE MOVING EAST
AT 20 MPH. THE STORM WILL PASS NEAR WHITE PLAINS AND ARMONK BY AROUND
6:00 PM. THE STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN
IN A BRIEF PERIOD OF TIME.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT.  NIT'S
IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR
