SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL  530 PM EDT
FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST NEW YORK
 
   ...ORANGE COUNTY
 
RADAR SHOWED A CLUSTER OF INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS MOVING EAST-SOUTHEAST AT
20 MPH ACROSS WESTERN ORANGE COUNTY. SPOTTER REPORTS OF DOWNED TREES AND
FLOODING IN THE VICINITY OF PORT JERVIS WERE RECEIVED.
 
STRONG GUSTY WINDS...HAIL AND TORRENTIAL RAIN PRODUCING RAPID FLOODING
WILL OCCUR AS THESE STORMS MOVE OVER THE COUNTY. THESE STORMS WILL BE
REACH THE MONROE/GOSHEN AREA BY 4 PM.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SH$OULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
