TORRENTIAL RAINFALL ASSOCIATED WITH HURRICANE BERTHA WAS
CONTINUING TO FALL OVER PITT COUNTY. REPORTS OF FLOODING HAD
BEEN RECEIVED FROM THE CITY OF GREENVILLE AND ADDITIONAL
RAINFALL TOTALS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED THROUGH 11 PM.
IF YOU ARE IN A LOW LYING AREA...SEEK HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
