THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING FOR THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING FOR MOREAU RIVER AND ITS TRIBUTARIES. NATIONAL
WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATES A NARROW BAND OF VERY
THUNDERSTORMS ROLLED EAST THIS MORNING RIGHT ALONG MOREAU RIVER
THROUGH MONITEAU AND COLE COUNTIES.
 
RAPID RISES ARE LIKELY ALONG THIS RIVER THIS AFTERNOON. PERSONS IN
AND CLOSE TO THE RIVER SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR POSSIBLE FLOODING.
 
MORE RAINS ARE DEVELOPING IN EASTERN KANSAS AND WILL LIKELY MOVE
EAST INTO THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON. THIS MAY EXTEND THE FLOODING PROBLEM.
