000 TTAA00 KNEW 010633 RRA TORNEW MSC047-010700- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW ORLEANS LA 1233 AM CST SUN DEC 1 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW ORLEANS HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 100 AM CST FOR RESIDENTS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH MISSISSIPPI ...HARRISON COUNTY AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS AT 1230 AM CST...DOPPLER RADAR IN SLIDELL INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM POSSIBLY PRODUCING A TORNADO 7 MILES NORTH OF GULFPORT OR LYMAN. THIS STORM WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR. THIS STORM WILL BE MOVING ACROSS HIGHWAY 49 NORTH OF LYMAN BEFORE 1245 AM.
