SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  900 PM CDT (800 PM MDT)
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA

AT 815 PM CDT (715 PM MDT)...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR
INDICATED A LARGE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 7 MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE TOWN OF
LAMAR...OR ABOUT 20 MILES WEST OF IMPERIAL. THE STORM WAS MOVING
SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH...AND WILL MOVE TO ABOUT 10 MILES WEST OF
CHAMPION BY 830 PM CDT (730 PM MDT).
 
GOLFBALL SIZED HAIL AND WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH ARE LIKELY WITH THIS
STORM.  ONE-INCH SIZED HAIL FELL FROM THIS STORM 3 MILES WEST
SOUTHWEST OF LAMAR AT 755 PM CDT (655 PM MDT).
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.  REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO
RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOTz STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
