000 TTAA00 KLBF 230037 SVRLBF NEC029-230115- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE 736 PM CDT (636 PM MDT) WED MAY 22 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTH PLATTE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 815 PM CDT (715 PM MDT) FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA ...CHASE COUNTY AT 735 PM CDT (634 PM MDT) A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS 15 MILES NORTHWEST OF LAMAR. MOVEMENT OF THE STORM WAS SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH. HIGH WINDS OF 60 MPH OR GREATER CAN BE EXPECTED WITH THIS STORM. LAMAR IS IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM AND THE STORM SHOULD BE THERE AROUND 7 PM MDT. THIS STORM HAS ALSO HAD A HISTORY OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.
