000 TTAA00 KLBF 190159 SVRLBF NEC017-190230- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE 856 PM CDT SAT MAY 18 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTH PLATTE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 930 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA ...BROWN COUNTY AT 855 PM CDT DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 10 MILES EAST OF ELSMERE...OR 20 SOUTH OF AINSWORTH. THIS STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 45 MPH AND PRODUCED STRONG WINDS AS IT MOVED THROUGH ELSMERE. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS. BOWMAN
