FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1200 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...

IN SOUTHEAST KENTUCKY

AT 850 AM EDT RADAR ESTIMATED RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO THREE QUARTERS
OF AN INCH HAS FALLEN NORTH OF PIKEVILLE FROM MOSSY BOTTOM TO META...AND
SIDNEY.  AUTOMATED RAIN GAGE REPORTS OF 0.52 INCHES OVER THE PAST HOUR
HAVE BEEN RECIEVED FROM NORTHEASTERN PIKE COUNTY.

THE RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO FALL THROUGH 10 AM AND TRIBUTARIES
OF THE LEVISA FORK...INCLUDING COWPEN...STONECOAL...BUCKLEY AS WELL AS
JOHNS CREEK WILL BEGIN TO RESPOND BETWEEN 9 AND 10 AM.

ROADS BETWEEN STATE HIGHWAYS 80 AND 194...AND U.S. HIGHWAY 119 WILL BE
THE MOST VULNERABLE THROUGH NOON.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAdY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED
QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
