FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 900 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...

IN SOUTHEAST KENTUCKY

   ...BREATHITT
 
AT 7:00 AM DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS MOVING ACROSS
BREATHITT COUNTY. VERY HEAVY RAINS WILL DUMP ONE-HALF TO ONE INCH OF
RAIN BY 8 AM...ESPECIALLY OVER SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THE COUNTY. THE
RESULTING RAINS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING OF STREAMS...CREEKS
AND LOW LYING AREAS. AREAS MOST VULNERABLE WILL BE SOUTH OF
JACKSON...FROM SHOULDERBLADE TO LOST CREEK.
 
IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE TO ESCAPE FLOOD
WATERS.  DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS
RISING.
