FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1230 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIESS...

IN SOUTHEAST KENTUCKY

   ...BELL
   ...KNOX
 
AT 715 AM DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING
HEAVY RAIN FROM NEAR SOMERSET TO MIDDLESBORO. THE STORMS WERE MOVING
SOUTHEAST AT ONLY 20 MPH. RAINFALL RATES WITH THESE STORMS HAVE BEEN IN
EXCESS OF 1 INCH PER HOUR. HEAVY RAIN WILL CONTINUE OVER MUCH OF KNOX
AND BELL COUNTIES THROUGH 10 AM.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTPO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED
QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
