THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WAYNE HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1115 PM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTHEAST INDIANA
 
   ...EASTERN ALLEN COUNTY...WESTERN DE KALB COUNTY
 
AT 812 PM EST THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINS EXTENDED FROM 10 MILES
NORTHEAST OF AUBURN INDIANA TO JUST NORTH OF MONROEVILLE INDIANA. THESE
THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SLOWLY SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH AND WERE DROPPING
RAINFALLS OF BETWEEN 2 TO 2.5 INCHES PER HOUR.
 
SINCE 5 PM EST 1.5 INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN IN AUBURN INDIANA. PERSONS
ALONG CEDAR CREEK IN DEKALB COUNTY SHOULD BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO HIGHER
GROUND IF FLOODING DEVELOPS. SOME ROADS IN NORTHEAST ALLEN COUNTY WERE
REPORTED AS FLOODED AND MOTORISTS IN BOTH ALLEN AND DEKALB COUNTIES
SHOULD AVOID DRIVING THROUGH FLOODED ROADWAYS.
 
PERSONS ALONG STREAMS SUBJECT TO FLOODING SHOULD GO TO HIGHER GROUND
IMMEDIATELY.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
