000 TTAA00 KGRB 170422 SVRGRB WIC075-170515- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREEN BAY WI 1121 PM CDT WED OCT 16 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GREEN BAY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1215 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTHEAST WISCONSIN ...MARINETTE COUNTY AT 1120 PM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A NARROW LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM NEAR MARINETTE TO CRIVITZ. THE LINE OF STORMS WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH. LARGE HAIL IS LIKELY WITH THE STORMS. THE TOWN OF MC ALLISTER WILL BE AFFECTED BY MIDNIGHT. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING. DON'T USE TELEPHONES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED. JKL/EB

THIS EVENING'S HEAVY RAIN FROM SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...COMBINED WITH FALLEN LEAVES WHICH TEND TO CLOG STORM SEWERS...MAY CAUSE SOME MINOR STREET FLOODING. NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR AT GREEN BAY INDICATED THAT 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN BETWEEN 700 AND 830 PM SEVERAL MILES WEST OF WAUSAU...AND IN THE ELDERON AND WITTENBERG AREAS. AT 845 PM...RADAR INDICATED THAT THE HEAVIEST RAIN WAS FALLING OVER THE NORTHERN HALF OF MARATHON COUNTY AND NORTHWEST SHAWANO COUNTY. THE STRONGER STORMS WILL PRODUCE AS MUCH AS AN INCH OR SO OF RAIN IN LESS THAN TWO HOUR'S TIME. JKL
