000 TTAA00 KFAR 170552 SVRFAR NDC005-170615- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA ND 1249 AM CDT FRI MAY 17 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 115 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTHEAST NORTH DAKOTA ...NORTHERN BENSON COUNTY AT 1248 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 40 MILES NORTHWEST OF DEVILS LAKE NEAR KNOX. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH. THE THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT THE TOWNS OF YORK AND LEEDS BETWEEN 1255 AND 110 AM. PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD PREPARE FOR LARGE HAIL. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.
