...VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS HAVE AGAIN REDEVELOPED OVER THE
WESTERN AND SOUTHERN PART OF THE ATLANTA METRO AREA...

AT 240 PM THE PEACHTREE CITY RADAR SHOWED THUNDERSTORMS...SOME WITH
HEAVY RAIN EXTENDING FROM NEAR ACTWORTH TO CARROLLTON...THEN EAST TO
HAPEVILLE AND PEACHTREE CITY AND ATLANTA. THE STORMS WERE MOVING TO
THE SOUTHEAST AT ABOUT 20 MILES AN HOUR. COBB COUNTY 911 REPORTED
VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS...GUSTY WINDS AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING STRIKES.

AT 230 PM WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MILES AN HOUR WAS REPORTED AT
DOBBINS AIR FORCE BASE AT MARIETTA. THERE HAVE BEEN NO REPORTS
RECEIVED AT THIS TIME OF WIND DAMAGE WITH THIS STORM. WEATHER RADAR
NOW SHOWS THE STORM HAVING WEAKENED AND MOVING INTO FULTON COUNTY.

STORMS WILL CONTINUE OVER THE ATLANTA AREA WHICH INCLUDES
COBB...FULTON...CAROL...COWETA...FAYETTA...AND CLAYTON COUNTIES.
VERY HEAVY RAIN...STRONG WINDS BETWEEN 40 AND 50 MPH ...AND CLOUD TO
GROUND LIGHTNING WILL LIKELY OCCUR AS THESE STORMS CONTINUE TO MOVE
EAST AND SOUTHEAST OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.
