000 TTAA00 KATL 262142 SVRATL GAC187-262215- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PEACHTREE CITY GA 540 PM EDT SUN MAY 26 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 615 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTHEAST GEORGIA ...NORTHERN LUMPKIN COUNTY AT 5:40 PM WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 15 MILES NORTHEAST OF DAHLONEGA. THE STORM SHOWED LITTLE MOVEMENT. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
