THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1245 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...MEDINA COUNTY
 
AT 926 PM CDT THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN CONTINUED OVER THE
NORTHERN HALF OF MEDINA COUNTY. THESE STORMS WERE DROPPING 2 TO 3 INCHES
IN AN HOURS TIME BASED ON DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES. RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO
FALL FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS. SEVERAL INCHES OF RAIN FELL A FEW
DAYS AGO AND THE GROUND IN THIS AREA IS SATURATED. MOST OF THE RAIN FROM
THESE STORMS WILL RUN OFF.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT.
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY
TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT TO ESCAPE
RISING WATER DURING THREATENING RAINS.
