THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CLEVELAND HAS EXTENDED THE
FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS
UNTIL 530 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

IN OHIO
...NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST CUYAHOGA COUNTY...NORTHERN GEAUGA COUNTY
...LAKE COUNTY

AT 230 AM CLEVELAND DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW A LINE OF SHOWERS
EXTENDING EAST FROM THE CLEVELAND LAKESHORE THROUGH EASTERN CUYAHOGA
COUNTY AND PORTIONS OF LAKE AND NORTHERN GEAUGA COUNTIES.  THE SHOWERS
WERE LOCALLY HEAVY.  MOVEMENT WAS TO THE EAST AT 20 MPH HOWEVER SHOWERS
CONTINUED TO REFORM JUST OFF SHORE AND MOVE INLAND.  THE GROUND OVER

THESE COUNTIES WAS ALREADY SATURATED FROM PREVIOUS RAINFALL DURING
THE LAST SEVERAL DAYS AND FROM 2 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN FELL FRIDAY OVER
NORTHERN AND EASTERN CUYAHOGA...WESTERN LAKE AND NORTHERN GEAUGA
COUNTIES. STREAMS IN SOME OF THESE AREAS ARE ALREADY NEAR BANKFULL
AND COULD OVERFLOW THEIR BANKS WITH LITTLE ADDITIONAL RAINFALL.
EXTENSIVE PONDING OF WATER WILL ALSO OCCUR ON SOME ROADWAYS OVER THE
AREA.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO `RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
